2020 - 21 Drumline Auditions
Students auditioning for drumline should 1) Fill out the sign up form on the Google Classroom, 2) Prepare the audition etude part on the instrument, 3) Play the audition! This year, auditions will be held online using the Zoom platform. The meeting location and code can be found on the Larkin Band's Google Classroom. If you are an incoming Freshman, please email Mr. Dobbeck to gain access to the audition form and Zoom code.
Please know that students may not be placed on their preferred instrument - the staff reserves the right to place students where it will best fit the drumline and the band as a whole. Any student who does not audition will either be placed at the director's discretion, or assigned as a "substitute player".
Students should play their audition on whatever they've got available to them: an actual snare, tenor, or drum pad(s) will be fine. Students will also be asked to sight read! It may be a little tricky via Zoom, but we're going to give it a shot.
